Are you a pilot? Add the NIT(A) rating to your licence!

Never be caught off guard by nightfall again: learn how to fly by sight even during these hours, and increase the safety of all your flights.

The night flying qualification obtained with Avilu in Switzerland is also accepted by ENAC and all EASA member countries.

Requirements: to obtain the NIT(A) rating, you must have a valid PPL(A) licence.

Conditions for obtaining the rating:

  • 5 hours of total block time, of which at least:
    • a navigation flight of 1 hour or more
    • 5 take-offs and 5 landings “solo”
    • the course must be completed within six months

Before the practical lessons, there will be Long Briefings to cover the theoretical part. No exam is required; it is the instructor who certifies the pilot.

This rating can be obtained by combining it with, for example, familiarisation with an additional daytime flight, or it can be obtained during PPL missions by adding the above-mentioned missions.

The cost of the rating is around CHF 3,000, but depends on the aircraft used during training. A more detailed estimate will be provided.
