Typical student educational track For a candidate holder of PPL(A) and wishing to obtain a “frozen ATPL”, the suggested educational track is: - ATPL theory course - IR(A) and MEP training - Skill Test IR-MEP - CPL(A) training - Skill Test CPL(A) This planning is the most efficient regarding the actual Flight Crew Licensing regulation, it is assumed that after the PPL(A) a candidates builds up flight hours until he reaches the following limits: - 50 hrs PIC minimum to START an IR(A) course - 70 hrs PIC minimum to obtain a MEP rating - 150 hrs Total minimum to START a CPL(A) course - 100 hrs PIC minimum to perform the Skill Test CPL(A)
