Advanced training

Typical student educational track

For a candidate holder of PPL(A) and wishing to obtain a “frozen ATPL”, the suggested educational track is:

- ATPL theory course
- IR(A) and MEP training
- Skill Test IR-MEP
- CPL(A) training
- Skill Test CPL(A)

This planning is the most efficient regarding the actual Flight Crew Licensing regulation, it is assumed that after the PPL(A) a candidates builds up flight hours until he reaches the following limits:

- 50 hrs PIC minimum to START an IR(A) course
- 70 hrs PIC minimum to obtain a MEP rating
- 150 hrs Total minimum to START a CPL(A) course
- 100 hrs PIC minimum to perform the Skill Test CPL(A)
